Free Piston Stirling Cooler (FPSC) is a refrigeration system based on the Stirling cycle, utilizing free pistons instead of a crankshaft. This design reduces friction and increases efficiency and reliability. Key components include a displacer and power piston, heat exchangers, and a linear motor. The system compresses and expands a working gas (like helium) to transfer heat, functioning efficiently and environmentally friendly without traditional refrigerants. FPSCs are used in applications requiring compact, reliable cooling, such as medical refrigerators and portable coolers.

The Free Piston Stirling Cooler operates based on the thermal expansion and contraction of gases as they transition between hot and cold environments. Compared to traditional refrigeration technology, it offers the following significant advantages:
High Efficiency
The Free Piston Stirling Cooler, utilizing Stirling technology, offers exceptional energy efficiency, providing strong cooling performance with lower energy consumption, helping users save energy and reduce operational costs.
Low Noise and Vibration
Unlike traditional compressors, the Free Piston Stirling Cooler operates with minimal noise and vibration, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment, making it especially suitable for applications where noise levels are a concern.
Oil-Free Operation
This technology operates without the need for oil lubrication, reducing oil contamination within the system, lowering maintenance requirements, and extending the lifespan of the equipment, ensuring cleaner and more efficient operation.
Long Lifespan and Reliability
Designed for long-term, stable operation, the Free Piston Stirling Cooler features a simple structure with no moving parts, minimizing mechanical wear and enhancing overall reliability, which results in a lower failure rate.
Environmental Friendliness
Utilizing 100% natural refrigerants, this technology supports sustainable, eco-friendly operation without harming the environment. It meets green standards, making it an ideal choice for businesses focused on sustainable development.
360° Operating Flexibility
Unlike traditional coolers, the Free Piston Stirling Cooler is not limited by operating angles, allowing it to function stably in any direction, significantly increasing its adaptability and flexibility in various applications.
Precise Temperature Control
The system allows for precise regulation of the cooling capacity, ensuring the temperature remains within the desired range. This guarantees optimal cooling performance and stable operation for a variety of applications.
The FPSC module can be integrated into systems using four primary cooling methods:
A. Direct Cooling with Conductive Connection: The FPSC module is connected directly to a cold side adapter and an aluminum plate within an insulated container. Inside air is cooled by natural convection.
B. Direct Cooling with Thermosyphon: Uses a gravity-dependent heat pipe system with a two-phase working fluid (CO2, CFC, etc.) for continuous heat transport.
C. Direct Cooling with Brine: A pump circulates a single-phase liquid through silicone rubber and copper tubes to transport heat from the cooled space.
D. Indirect Cooling: Uses a fan and heat exchanger to cool the inside air through forced convection.
